Rural Development, the Floyd County Economic Development Authority (EDA), and the Jacksonville Center for the Arts have teamed up to create a “Photo Lab” so that artists, artisans, and other small businesses can get professional-quality images of their work, which is critical in this day of online marketplaces and online juried entry processes. Even great products would not sell without high-quality packaging, imaging, and other print materials. Rural Development provided a grant to purchase a backdrop system, iMac computers, and software, where people can learn to work with their images. A private individual is loaning his high-end camera and light box for the project. To learn more: Lydeana Martin, email@example.com.
